THE STORY SO FAR
Here at QPG, which is a non-profit community organisation run by a board of local residents and volunteers, we thrive on providing free activities and classes that cater to the demands of children within the local community.
Our main aim is to improve our community and offer the youth opportunities that they lack so that they have a positive outlet.
We have our own youth champions group who help us to decide what lessons and activities we introduce, proudly run over 7 days a week.
Children’s favourites, such as our weekly football sessions, enable children of all technical ability to participate with their peers and further their skills through our coaching sessions. This promotes important qualities like teamwork and resilience, but is also a good form of physical exercise, which all children need.
Our other focus for this new term is nutritional workshops and healthy cooking. Also, given the different backgrounds of the children in the community, education is an area we also strive to help promote so that all kids get a fair opportunity to access additional learning.
Our latest evening classes for children 16 and under include Maths, English, Science, Arabic, French and Spanish – all taught weekly at QPG Hub, 254 Kilburn Lane, by professional tutors and volunteers.
QPG would like to say Hello to our brand new partners, Moberly Sports Centre, who have supported us - along with Willmott Dixon - as we continue to grow our services in the community.
With school having recently broken up for summer, and with the half-term and Christmas fast approaching, children will understandably be full of energy and enthusiasm. Parents looking for quiet time, or unsure what to do, have an alternative in QPG.
As was the case when we began our journey in 2016, our main aim for QPG is to add to our community by giving local youth a positive outlet by providing opportunities that they currently lack, and this has proven to be a huge success, with numbers growing weekly.
This year, we have an exciting football schedule, and I am delighted to promote the addition of our new evening classes in the subjects of Maths, English, Science, French and Spanish. We have a diverse group of children in our community, and we will always strive to provide them with easy, fair access to education.
Of course, at the heart of our activities are our volunteers, and with that said, I am very proud to welcome our latest volunteers – Zak, Susie, Simon, Carla, Osama, Mohammed, Noah, and Sabrin – who will support QPG as we look to expand in order to assist even more people in our community. Check out our volunteer roles on the Do It Westminster page to see the latest roles that we have today!
Lastly, I’d like to highlight our recent nomination for ‘Organisation of the Year’ at the Westminster City Council Awards. This is a proud moment for us, and I would like to thank parents, our volunteers, and other residents for helping us reach this landmark.
Other latest QPG Football news includes Under 15s QPG footballers, Albi and Abdullah, having both won players of the year, with Albi having won Under 15s player of the year for 2019-2020, and Abdullah having won Over 15s player of the year for 2019-2020.
Both have shown real commitment and talent over the past twelve months.
Have a look through the website to discover all the wonderful things we will be working on throughout this year and feel free to email a member of the team 7 days a week – firstname.lastname@example.org.

I am also very excited to announce our new three-year sponsorship deal with the brand-new Moberly Sports Centre, which is run by Everyone Active.
As two local organisations who are both extremely passionate about active and nutritious lifestyles, we can't wait to encourage more families around our community to get moving over this amazing sports-filled year, including our Summer Sports Festival in partnership with Active Westminster and StreetGames.
On Tuesday 2nd April 2019, we celebrated our third year since QPGs inception, and we are extremely proud of how much as community organisation we have grown since the start. We look forward to building on our community partnerships and sessions.
