About the Pub

The William IV, one of London’s most historic pubs, was built during the reign of the Sailor King, William IV, and the pub has been a proud feature of Harrow Road for centuries.

William IV was known as The Sailor King, having served in the Navy in the years before his reign. There are plenty of nautical decorations throughout the pub and hotel. The Clarence room also pays tribute to William’s time as Duke of Clarence, and the Nelson Room marks his friendship with Admiral Horatio Nelson.
