QPG is a not-for-profit community organisation, which started in 2016 with a couple of local community volunteers providing free weekly football sessions in Queen’s Park - with the intention of it being a small weekly gathering in order to promote healthy and active lifestyles.
In 2017, the founder opened a brand new Community Hub on Kilburn Lane, which has continued to thrive and grow, being an essential part of the Queen’s Park Covid19 outreach and response effort, working in close partnership with a wide range of organisations and local schools.
Due to this growth, we are now looking for a Football Coach and After-school Club Assistant to start in January for 15 hours per week.
Job Description
Industry: Community outreach, Sports, and Education
Contract Type: Freelance, with a 3 month probationary period
Salary: 15 hours per week, hours to be worked over 3/ 4 days, with occasional weekends.
Remuneration is £15 per hour.
Location: Queen’s Park, London W10, and Acton, London W3

Interviews will take place between Monday 11th and 15th January, and subject to 2 satisfactory references, a projected start date of 18th January 2021, following a successful induction period of one week.
Skills and Requirements:
Required - 1 years or more childcare experience, including leading a team
Required - Safeguarding to Level 1 as a minimum - Level 2 and Level 3 Safeguarding training will be provided, as well as Health and Hygiene
Required - A current enhanced DBS check. This can be arranged prior to appointment commencing.
A competent knowledge of child developmental needs
Excellent communication and time-keeping skills
Strong accuracy and attention to detail
Good organisational skills, and the ability to prioritise and multitask
General understanding of sporting activities in order to deliver children’s sporting sessions would be highly desirable, including possession of a Football coaching qualification.
Professional, approachable, committed, and friendly
We are looking for someone with experience to come in and hit the ground running, a support structure will be put in place to make sure you have the best chance to achieve this.
